Overview

Kanagawa Prefecture, just south of Tokyo, offers a mix of seaside charm, cultural treasures, and relaxing getaways. Yokohama, Japan’s second-largest city, is known for its vibrant Chinatown, historic Red Brick Warehouse, and scenic harbor views. Kamakura, a former samurai capital, invites visitors with its Great Buddha, Zen temples, and bamboo groves.

Closer to Mount Fuji, Hakone is a top destination for hot springs, art museums, Lake Ashi cruises, and the famous Hakone Shrine with its red torii gate by the water. For food lovers, Odawara offers traditional kamaboko fish cakes and a well-preserved castle.

Kanagawa combines urban attractions, spiritual sites, and natural beauty, making it an easy and rewarding escape from Tokyo.
