A High-Energy Playground in Odaiba

Odaiba is known for its futuristic buildings, bay views, and shopping complexes—but hidden inside DECKS Tokyo Beach is something completely different: Joypolis, SEGA’s indoor amusement park. With rides, VR adventures, and arcade games spread over several floors, it’s the kind of place that pulls you right out of sightseeing mode and straight into playtime.

When we visited after browsing the shops, it quickly became one of the highlights of our day. The flashing neon lights, pulsing music, and mix of rides and games created this buzzing atmosphere that had all of us grinning—kids and adults alike.

Why Visit Joypolis DECKS?

Joypolis combines the excitement of a theme park with Japan’s gaming culture. There are over 20 attractions, many blending VR, projection mapping, and motion simulators with traditional rides. You can go from playing a rhythm-based roller coaster game to navigating a haunted house—all without stepping outside.

Because it’s indoors, it’s comfortable year-round and a great backup plan if the weather turns. It’s also right in the middle of Odaiba, making it easy to fit into a day visiting nearby spots like DiverCity or Odaiba Marine Park.

Who Will Enjoy Joypolis?

Joypolis is best for families with older kids, couples looking for something playful, or groups of friends wanting a mix of rides and games. Height requirements for many attractions are between 110 and 130 cm, so younger kids may be limited in what they can ride.

It’s also ideal if you’re already in Odaiba and want an active, hands-on experience between shopping and sightseeing.
